Summary
An infected mage with a storied past of bad decisions. He's left a field of dead in his wake, spilled innocent blood, and committed himself to burning the cruelty from this world by hand.

Noir had let himself be taken over by his infection, but more recently he had decided to steel himself and return to seattle in one pieace. He will always struggle with the urge to hunt and feed, though he wishes to control his urges entirely.

Noir was born into his magical powers. He did not earn them by might or by practice, instead inherited them from birth. One of his goals in life is to understand better understand his ability to cast and weave magic. In the past, he was used as a tool to hurt others, and moving forward he wants to be able to control himself and magic to a point where he won't accidentally hurt anyone again.

Noir's mentor is a spirit of fire, which causes his to throw himselfat causes he believes in. When he was active in Redmond, he became acquaintances and was helped by Heart of the Tempest and Swerve. Through their action they left an impression on Noir that caused his to see them the same as any other person. Finding out that the populace despised these kinds of people did not sit well with his , and sparked his need for them to have equality. Misguided or not, he's intends to give this cause his all.
After becoming infected, he found Amelie Baptiste and Noir believed his to be a mentor of sorts. Because of this kindness, Noir decided to align himself with the Night Throne and their goals believe the himself and Amelie to have intrinsically similar goals.

If any party were to hunt Noir , he would not want any harm to come to Ryn, especially given Noir's ties to the Night Throne. So for the purpose of security, he wishes to hide the truth of his connection to Ryn.
Background
Noir Larvor was born of to a blood cult believing that he would be some grand icon of retribution. From a young age, his innate magical ability was used by the cult to do harm and gain notoriety. All dreams end, however, and when the cult was cracked down on by SAEDER-KRUPP Kill squad, he was stolen away by a friend of his mother, knowing that if he was apprehended, being tagged as a mage and a criminals would be a death knell to his . Through their kindness, they were released onto the streets of Seattle with a fake ID and barely any creds.
Noir tried to make an honest living - the naïve idealism of his soon snuffed out by the reality of the world. Working with fixers, finding a place to call home, working with the local church to help others. All these were fine until he desired a further understanding of his latent and since untouched powers.
In March 2083 Noir became active as a runner in Seattle. During this time he had a record of killing over thirty people, including gangers, orcs, and notably two corpos. The immense dread of what he had done caused his to spiral into a depression, and as a way to get out of it he decided to take a run in the summer of 2083 to deliver a corpo briefcase to a ganger territory.
While on the run, he went through the drivethrough of a nearby NeoCurry and ate undercooked food which caused his to become food poisoned. he pulled over and passed out on the side of a northbound highway, and upon waking found that his car had been ransacked and the briefcase was taken. Fearing repercussions, he left everything behind and fled north to Vancouver for aproximately six months. In December of 2083, Noir returned to seattle and moved in with Hibiscus.

Noir had hurt many people growing up, and as an adult he had an streak of pacifism that was taught through trauma and not wanting to repeat past mistakes. Rather than have to deal with his squick for hurting others, he tries to get it over and done with, like ripping off the bandaid.
