Chaos mage initiate born into power but without temperament.
Summary
An infected mage with a storied past of bad decisions. He's left a field of dead in his wake, spilled innocent blood, and learned the true depths of how low one can truly sink. Now he wishes to leave a more positive mark on the world, willing to give himself to the cause he believes in to save the world of cruelty.
Goals
- Study Under Louhi's teachings and purge the bugs from the world
Noir had always thought highly of Wychking. Having heard of her ability and efforts to destroy the invae, it rubbed off on her and instilled an urge to help. Noir was already in a rut, so finding true meaning to her life inspired her to take up the torch, as it were.

Noir had let himself be taken over by his infection, but more recently he had decided to steel himself and return to Seattle in one piece. He will always struggle with the urge to hunt and feed, though he wishes to control his urges entirely.
- Understand Magic
Noir was born into his magical powers. He did not earn them by might or by practice, instead inherited them from birth. One of his goals in life is to understand better understand his ability to cast and weave magic. In the past, he was used as a tool to hurt others, and moving forward he wants to be able to control himself and magic to a point where he won't accidentally hurt anyone again.

Noir's mentor is a spirit of fire, which causes his to throw himself at causes he believes in. When he was active in Redmond, he became acquaintances and was helped by Heart of the Tempest and Swerve. Through their action they left an impression on Noir that caused his to see them the same as any other person. Finding out that the populace despised these kinds of people did not sit well with his , and sparked his need for them to have equality. Misguided or not, he's intends to give this cause his all.
After becoming infected, he found Amelie Baptiste and Noir believed his to be a mentor of sorts. Because of this kindness, Noir decided to align himself with the Night Throne and their goals believe the himself and Amelie to have intrinsically similar goals.

In recent dealings with the Night Throne, it's come to light that Noir's parents might have escaped the SK kill squad, meaning both his parents could still be alive...

If any party were to hunt Noir , he would not want any harm to come to Ryn, especially given Noir's ties to the Night Throne. So for the purpose of security, he wishes to hide the truth of his connection to Ryn.
By September 2084, Ryn was well into hiding, and their relationship is entirely under wraps.
Background
Noir Larvor was born of to a blood cult believing that he would be some grand icon of retribution. From a young age, his innate magical ability was used by the cult to do harm and gain notoriety. All dreams end, however, and when the cult was cracked down on by SAEDER-KRUPP Kill squad, he was stolen away by a friend of his mother, knowing that if he was apprehended, being tagged as a mage and a criminals would be a death knell to his . Through their kindness, they were released onto the streets of Seattle with a fake ID and barely any creds.
Noir tried to make an honest living - the naïve idealism of his soon snuffed out by the reality of the world. Working with fixers, finding a place to call home, working with the local church to help others. All these were fine until he desired a further understanding of his latent and since untouched powers.
In March 2083 Noir became active as a runner in Seattle. During this time he had a record of killing over thirty people, including gangers, orcs, and notably two corpos. The immense dread of what he had done caused his to spiral into a depression, and as a way to get out of it he decided to take a run in the summer of 2083 to deliver a corpo briefcase to a ganger territory.
While on the run, he went through the drive through of a nearby NeoCurry and ate undercooked food which caused his to become food poisoned. he pulled over and passed out on the side of a northbound highway, and upon waking found that his car had been ransacked and the briefcase was taken. Fearing repercussions, he left everything behind and fled north to Vancouver for approximately six months. In December of 2083, Noir returned to Seattle and moved in with Hibiscus.
During January of 2084, Noir persuaded Tempest to make turn him, infecting him with HMHVV strain 1. Afterwards, he grew more and more sadistic and lethal, killing many civilians and other infected while working under the Night Throne. He garnered an awful reputation and through his actions proved to be too wild to handle. In early April, Noir, Tempest, and Ez-Ezazel met and had a dark conversation about Noir's future, in which Noir proclaimed not to want to be a part of Tempest's life or family any further. After returning home with Ez-Azazel, Noir fled his apartment and was stalked by an infected hunter. After a fight ensued, he managed to escape but not without scars. Noir lost his right eye and gained two scars over his stomach. He now wears an eyepatch.
In Late April of 2084, Noir fled Seattle and headed to Europe to settle her feelings about being infected. He trained under a drake named Mlynar, who imparted some strategies to not disrupt the natural ecosystem of life.

Noir had hurt many people growing up, and as an adult he had an streak of pacifism that was taught through trauma and not wanting to repeat past mistakes. Rather than have to deal with his squick for hurting others, he tries to get it over and done with, like ripping off the band aid.

Surtr was arrested during one of her runs by Knight Errant. While he was rescued, he was not spared from being issued a criminal sin. On a later run, he met a hacker by the name of $p1keslinger who was able to hack into KE's criminal database and remove her warrant and SIN.

Noir learned particularly the hard way that leaving a trace of yourself on the astral is a terrible idea, and to be a mage that can take over people's actions is a death sentence in the wrong crowd. His first attunement with the astral realm left his with the knowledge of how to take care when leaving an astral signal, allowing his to hide his true nature.

The secrets of alchemy, of casting magics into objects for use later and the magical understandings therein were a skill and a knowledge Noir fiended after. His passion and skill emboldened his research, and his foray into the astral a third time left his with the further understanding of alchemy and the world around his .

The blowback from casting spells can wreck havoc on an unwitting mage, but Surtr is no stranger to the strenuous effects from casting larger spells. She developed early on little ways to overcome the drain from larger incantations, though through practice she matured these processes into the metamagic of Centering.

Through the particulars of being given a criminal SIN, Noir wanted to find ways to not be detected by the law. One of the ways she thought of, enhanced by masking, was to flex her signature into something that wasn't hers. She's able to warp the signature left from her spells to both shorten their existence or make it seem like someone else is casting the spells altogether.
