* Meat: Barbarian is a big, mean and tough looking troll with curved horns and an intimidating beard. Barb is a simple fellow and is easy to befriend. He likes good ale, good food and a good fight. Despite being quick to anger he's also easy to befriend and tries his best to take care of his runner team. Conan walks into a fight sword in one hand and shield in the other like some kind of 6th world barbarian. He's regularly oversleeps and has a bad habit of snoring loudly.

Conan was a rare metatype. Born in the California Free States, Conan grew up in relative poverty. Conan awakened at the age of 16, during a street fight. When he turned 18, he left to join a mercenary group named the "Warhounds", who operated out of UCAS but their main activity was in the Amazon jungles, on the payroll of Aztechnology. Conan proved his worth in many (quite bloody) black ops missions. Eventually, due to his exceptional genetic compatibility and innate magical talents, Conan was selected to be one of the few non-vat grown subjects for "Project Fire Nectar". Specimen T-37A was deployed as a super soldier. It took 5 years of jungle operations, 5 years of work for next to no pay to settle debts Aztechnology for their implants.

The 5 years of psychological and jungle guerrilla warfare he waged against Aztech's political enemies, left some serious scars on his soul. After his debt was settled he decided to quit his job. Unfortunately for him, Conan had carried out multiple black ops throughout this time, and done some questionable things that Aztech didn't want getting out. The Warhounds took the contract to eliminate Conan. Through a period of 1 year, he was pursued relentlessly by his previous comrades, the Warhounds. Desperate and on the run, through one last ditch effort, Conan made a deal with Aztechnology. A counter proposal to eliminate all members of the Warhounds, thus tying up all loose ends and in exchange they would let him go and he would keep his mouth shut regarding the black ops. Three months later, he was able to kill every Warhound that he worked with. During this strenuous time, Conan discovered something new.While he was an adept for a long time, someone or something reached out to him during this period: "Bear". Why would the great bear come to him, he does not understand fully. Crom as he would come to call him, believed he had a greater destiny and so Conan landed on the shores of a foreign land. Seattle, UCAS. A trained combatant, who ran multiple missions in the Amazon. Now he runs the shadows, for what else can a man like him do? He took on the persona of a comic book character Neil the ork Barbarian, being a fan of the comics since he was a kid.
So what does a man do when he is born into a drek life, with no hope for a future? When each day in life is a trudge through all the waist deep shit and invisible hands pulling you down. Max was born SINless, in a litter of four, and grew up in poverty. His parents were refugees from CalFree back when it was the California Protectorate. People didn't take kindly to metahumans there. His father (Rob Steele), a troll was a rent-a-bodyguard, while his mother (Amanda), an ork was a former teacher at the People's University in Berkeley who fought against General Saito for sometime. Later in her life she spent her time teaching at a SINless school in the Ork Underground trying to feed Max and his three other siblings.
 
Growing up Max was fascinated by shows like Neil the Ork Barbarian, King R-thor & his knights of Neo-Camelot, etc. Max saw the plight and desperation of his fellow SINless, their lives slowly eaten away by drugs, crime and poverty. So Max took it upon himself, that while his brother and sisters would do their own thing, he would become a street samurai. So he sought out the biggest baddest dude in the Barrens, "The Shadow Sword" and impressed him with his fighting spirit. Rest is history, all that matter is the end product of all those years of training, Cyber Knight.
 
His brother [[Jax Steele]], joined the UCAS marine corps and landed a SIN, one of his sisters, [[Val Steele]] managed to get into UWAS engineering but dropped out in senior year after her SIN was exposed. She works as a rigger for hire and has her own garage. His youngest sister (Rain) formed a gang with her friends but the entire gang was wiped out in a turf war.

So what does a man do when he is born into a drek life, with no hope for a future? When each day in life is a trudge through all the waist deep shit and invisible hands pulling you down. Max was born SINless, in a litter of four, and grew up in poverty. His parents were refugees from CalFree back when it was the California Protectorate. People didn't take kindly to metahumans there.
